Zahi Hawass

Zahi Hawass (28 May 1947-) Is an Egyptian Egyptologist, archeologist, anthropologist, politician, and academic.

Among his greatest achievements are the discovery of tombs and pyramids, like the pyramid of the Queen of the Teti King in Saqqara. On the other hand, another of his achievements is the awakening of the worldwide interest in Antique Egypt, participating in programs of Natgeo, writing books, and doing multiple conferences. In 2019 he discovered on live a mummy of 2500 years for Discovery Channel.  Nowadays, he is working on determining the cause of the death of Tutankhamun and on finding the tomb of Nefertiti.

He also struggles to recover valuable Egyptian pieces that are nowadays on display in German and British museums.

I admire this archeologist for his great contributions to Egyptology and his fight against European colonialism, always search to strengthen Egyptian tourism through the recovery of the Egyptian patrimony plundered, like the Nefertiti Bust and the Rosetta Stone.
